This fun French Back to School Four Corners Icebreaker activity will get your students moving around and talking to each other – and it’s super easy to prepare, just print 4 pages!
There are 60 different questions on a variety of topics, all things that your students can relate to. Each wall or corner of your room will have a different response – every day, most days, a few times, never. As you share the slides from the PowerPoint on your screen, students will move around the room to their choice of answer. The questions all use the passé composé – but even if students haven’t yet mastered this tense, the images on each slide will help them understand what is being asked.
The fun part isn’t just getting the basic answer – it’s the conversation it can spark. You can use each prompt as a jumping-off point for a lot of input and personalized questions, and you can change the level to match your students’ abilities.
This is a low-prep, high-engagement activity that students will find interesting.
