This Mont Saint-Michel French reading comprehension activity will teach your students about the monument of Mont Saint-Michel.
The Mont Saint-Michel is one of the most famous tourist attractions in France. It is also the home of some amazing natural phenomena. This article tells the story of the Mount, from its beginnings as a religious community to the most recent issues with the new bridge and environmental problems.
There are three different readings for novice-high through intermediate-mid students with teacher guidance and higher-level students to work independently. If you teach AP French, this reading can be useful in giving your students practice reading nonfiction articles for the interpretive section of the test. The reading can lead to discussion or writing activities to include the other two modes of communication.
