La Coupe du Monde World Cup 2022 French reading comprehension

This World Cup 2022 French reading comprehension activity will teach your students about the upcoming World Cup soccer competition and the controversies surrounding it. Learn about the history of the Coupe du Monde, how the tournament is set up, and what is coming in future tournaments.

This French reading activity includes two versions of the article – one for novice learners (more basic vocabulary, simple tenses), and one for intermediate and advanced learners (includes imparfait, passé composé and expanded vocabulary). No matter which version you use with your students, the comprehension questions in French and English will allow them to show you that they’ve understood.
