Can your students understand when to use the preterito and when to use the imperfecto?

This Spanish imperfect o preterito digital game will help them practice choosing between the two tenses.

30 different questions – each is a sentence in English where you would use either the imperfecto or the preterito to write the same sentence in Spanish.

Choosing correctly moves you on to the next question, choosing incorrectly causes you to go back and repeat the questions in that section.

Students do not need to have mastered how to form either tense in Spanish, this game is just to practice getting the concept of what things require each of the tenses.

Includes a Google drive, Powerpoint, and PDF version of the game. Share with students as an individual assignment or work through the activity as a class on a smartboard.
