Roller Coaster French reading comprehension activity

This roller coaster French reading comprehension activity will teach your students about the invention and development of roller coasters.  It is suitable for novice-high/intermediate-low students with teacher guidance and higher-level students to work independently.  If you teach AP French, this reading can be useful in giving your students practice reading nonfiction articles for the interpretive section of the test.  The reading can lead to discussion or writing activities to include the other two modes of communication.

Roller coasters are a highlight of summer visits to the amusement park – but how did they come to exist? There’s a lot of science involved in making a fun – but safe – ride. Learn about the history of roller coasters and how they work, including information about the “coaster of death” designed to kill its riders painlessly.
