This fun novice/intermediate level French reading is a short story about Mother’s Day and the celebration of the holiday. There are two versions of the story – one written in the present tense and one in written in the passé composé and imparfait. Both have a glossary to help with new words. There is also a reading about the history and traditions of Mother’s Day.
In the story, a group of students has noticed that their moms are not acting normal – what could possibly be causing this?
After you finish the readings, there are comprehension questions and a story retell/rewrite activity. The readings are in printable pdf form as well as a PowerPoint version of each reading – read together as a class, or assign for individual reading.
