This set of French masculine or feminine digital task cards practices determining whether nouns are masculine or feminine by using the words le and la, or whether you can’t tell because the noun starts with a vowel. Students will be able to read the explanation of masculine and feminine and how to tell the difference, then practice the concept. There are both reading and listening activities.

Cards1-5: explanation of le, la and l’

Cards7-15: Choose whether or not the nouns are masculine or feminine based on the le or la

Card 16: Sort the nouns into the correct bin – masculine, feminine or can’t tell based on the determinant

Cards 17-26: Choose which determinant you hear – le, la, or l’
