French future tenses writing activities – futur proche and futur simple

This French grammar activity will allow students to practice forming and using the French future tenses – both the futur proche and the futur simple. It includes a set of explanation pages and activities to practice the French future tenses.

The writing prompts can be used with either the compound future tense (aller + infinitive) OR the simple future tense. Includes a 1-page explanation of how to form each tense. Can be used with lower levels (aller + infinitive) as well as upper levels (simple future).

Includes 5 different French future tenses writing activities:

• short answers making predictions about famous people
• short answers making predictions about people that students know personally
• a longer response about New Year’s resolutions (or resolutions for the new school year)
• a longer response about what life will be like further in the future
• a worksheet to practice changing the futur proche to the futur simple
