This Beyond the Lines French movie talk is a fun way to give your students comprehensible input.
Two boys find themselves ready to storm the beach on D-Day. They are scared, but run towards the beach with the other soldiers – but these aren’t regular soldiers. Who are they and why are the boys there?
This item includes a pre and post viewing activity worksheet for students, a teacher instruction page, a story script and an answer key as well as a link to the video.
There is also a link to a Textivate page with different activities using the story text. You can assign the games to students without a paid account, but if you have a Textivate account you can keep track of scores.
This is easily suitable for level 1 French students, and could be adapted to more advanced levels by adding/removing some of the details in the story. The target vocabulary is:
un soldat
ils/elles courent
se cache
une lettre
