This Jeanne de Clisson French reading activity will teach your students about a little-known pirate who got vengeance against those who wronged her.
Jeanne de Clisson was called the Lioness of Brittany – angered after the execution of her husband, she swore vengeance against the French crown. She followed up on her threat and became one of the most violent pirates of the era, leaving few survivors from the ships she attacked.
Includes two versions of the reading, one with questions in French and one with questions in English.
