This fun German Back to School Four Corners Icebreaker activity will get your students moving around and talking to each other – and it’s super easy to prepare, just print 4 pages!
There are 60 different questions on a variety of topics, all things that your students can relate to. Each wall or corner of your room will have a different response – every day, most days, a few times, never. As you share the slides from the PowerPoint on your screen, students will move around the room to their choice of answer. The questions are in the Perfekt, but even if your students haven’t yet mastered that tense, the graphics on the slides will help them to understand what is being asked.
The fun part isn’t just getting the basic answer – it’s the conversation it can spark. Use the prompt to ask further personalized questions and give your students lots of input and get them thinking in German after the summer break!
This is a low-prep, high-engagement activity that students will find interesting.
