The Knights Templar for Boom™ cards French reading activity

This French reading comprehension activity will teach your students about the knights templar, a medieval order of knights in the holy land.  It is suitable for novice-high/intermediate-low students with teacher guidance and higher level students to work independently.  If you teach AP French, this reading can be useful in giving your students practice reading nonfiction articles for the interpretive section of the test.  The reading can lead to discussion or writing activities to include the other two modes of communication.

The Knights Templar were originally founded to protect pilgrims in the holy land, but they eventually became one of the most powerful organizations in the world. Learn about their beginnings and their violent end in this reading for French learners. Intermediate low learners will be able to understand the reading with scaffolding and teacher support while Intermediate mid and higher will be able to read independently. Includes a 3-page article in French with a glossary of less frequent words. Respond to comprehension questions in both English and French.
