This digital escape game will allow your students to practice using French ER verbs in a fun way. Students will complete 5 tasks that start out with the simplest questions and move towards more difficult tasks. As they complete each task, the self-grading game will give them a number to unlock the code as the final task.
 
The game is built in genial.ly, so you don’t need to do any prep at all – no teacher or student account needed! The teacher guide will give you the link to the game as well as a description and answer key for each task. Simply share the link with your students and they can play through it.   • Task 1 has students choosing which verbs are French ER verbs
  • Task 2 has students selecting which ER verb completes the sentence – they don’t need to know the meaning of all the verbs, so long as they know the ER verb endings.
  • Task 3 has students selecting which version of the sentence is correct, based upon the conjugation. They will see three versions of the sentence, but only one has the correct ending.
  • Task 4 has students putting the correct ending on each of the French ER verbs.
  • Task 5 has students taking an ER verb in the infinitive and conjugating it.
 
As each task is completed, students will a piece of the code to unlock the treasure chest. Students will want to keep track of the numbers so they can unlock the treasure at the end of the game.
