This Hey Deer French movie talk tells the story of a confused deer whose world is shaken up every night. Each morning he shovels the snow and each evening he goes to bed utterly exhausted – only to find that everything is messed up the next morning and he has to start over again!
This item includes a pre and post viewing activity worksheet for students, a teacher instruction page, a story script and an answer key as well as a link to the video.
This is easily suitable for level 2 French students, and could be adapted to more advanced levels by adding/removing some of the details in the story. It uses the past tenses – imparfait and passé composé.
The target vocabulary for the Hey Deer French movie talk is:
un cerf – a deer
une pelle – a shovel
pelleter – to shovel
s’est reveillé – woke up
bouger – to move
