La Belle Soeur French short story for beginning/intermediate French learners

This intermediate La Belle Soeur French short story reading comprehension activity will allow you to read a short story, entirely in French.  It tells the story of two sisters who don’t always get along.

Lucie and Annie are sisters. Annie is very jealous – she will get her revenge on her popular sister in a devious plan that involves mud, bacon and blue dye. Find out what happens next in this story for French learners.

This activity packet includes a 2 page story in the present tense – appropriate for 2nd semester and later French students, with comprehension questions and other activities. There is also a version of the story in the past tense, using the imparfait and passé composé for more advanced students. Also includes an infographic about perfume and other scent.
